Hi Gang,

We arrived at the Bank just before 1000 this morning. After picking up just one wahoo on the troll, we located an area of scattered tuna just off the edge of the Bank. As we started a chum line, tuna started blowing out in the chum almost right away and put on an impressive show. Once the anchor was down, it didn't take long to hook our first fish. From this point on we were busy with 1 to 3 fish hooked for most of the day. This fish was mostly 120 to 200 pounds and the majority of our bites came on the flylined sardine. 100 or 130 lb. fluorocarbon, a 5/0 ringed circle hook, and a lively bait was the method of choice. Late in the afternoon our current died and so did our action. It felt as though this place will be best in the morning and, even though we had a good day, it had the distinct feel as though we got here just as things were beginning to slow down. We are looking forward to what tomorrow brings. Our chefs out did themselves again tonight and wowed us all with a wedge salad, sliced tri tip and lobster mac and cheese dinner. The weather today was perfect with calm seas and just enough wind to fly the kites. We have high hopes for tomorrow. Wish us luck, Captain Bill Cavanaugh and the Intrepid Team
